We are hiring an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance Specialist in our Fullerton CA location. In partnership with the EHS Manager onsite, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of moderate to complex safety programs policies and processes in an effort to achieve a workplace free of work- related injuries and to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and/or company standards. If you are process and detailed oriented, continuous learner and passionate about implementing programs that will keep our employees safe - this is your perfect job!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Organizes and administers safety and compliance programs, ensuring adherence to regulations and safety goals.
  • Investigates incidents, performs root cause analysis, and implements corrective actions, including training and disciplinary measures.
  • Develops and communicates safety practices, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
  • Builds cross-functional partnerships to design processes and equipment that minimize risks and ensure safety.
  • Coordinates and facilitates safety committee meetings, employee engagement, and risk management programs, including compliance reporting to regulatory bodies (EPA, OSHA).
  • Oversees audits, hazard analysis, and management of change, ensuring documentation and timely completion of audit recommendations.
  • Conducts safety inspections, fire protection system monitoring, training development, and liaises with regulatory agencies for inspections and compliance.
  • Must be willing to obtain training in safety, PSM and environmental regulations and related programs.

Skills/Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work years) plus 3+ years’ experience related to safety and safety programs.
  • Working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and other State or Federal program requirements.
  • Experience (or education) in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, and/or Industrial Safety and Health.
  • Experience with plant operations and processes preferred and be open to working in both hot and cold environments.
