NOW HIRING – Sr. Research Scientist, CROP team, Stanford University
The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition and The Childhood Research in Obesity Prevention (CROP) research program at Stanford University is seeking a Sr. Research Scientist with experience in community based randomized trials, longitudinal research, and implementation science. The CROP research program seeks to translate clinical, community, and epidemiologic research findings into innovative population-level interventions during pregnancy, infancy, and early childhood to prevent and treat childhood obesity and chronic diseases. Current research projects are funded by NIH, PCORI, and Foundations amounting to over $20M total costs between 2024-2030 in addition to endowed program funding. These include the Food FARMacia randomized trial of an infant food security intervention; the LINC mixed methods study of social risk factors, navigation, and neighborhoods; and the PCORI-funded CHIME (Comparing Health Interventions for Maternal Equity) program. The CHIME program focuses on maternal-infant health equity through a comparative effectiveness research study of social and behavioral interventions in pregnancy and postpartum/infancy and research mentorship program.
