Description:
Goldbelt C6, LLC is seeking a Food Exposure Assessment Data Analyst for exposure assessment to assist in the development of advanced tools and procedures to conduct exposure assessments using large datasets related to potential food contamination and exposure to pathogens or chemical contaminants. These efforts will support the organization’s initiatives in maternal and infant health, nutrition, and produce safety, including critical programs like the Closer to Zero Action Plan, the Toxic Elements Working Group, the Total Diet Study, and the New Era of Smarter Food Safety. Essential Job Functions:
- Shall provide expertise on chemical contaminant, microbial pathogen, or nutritional exposure assessment from foods, especially work in support of the organization’s efforts in maternal and infant health and produce safety, including the Closer to Zero Action Plan, the Toxic Elements Working Group, the Total Diet Study, New Era of Smarter Food Safety, Leafy Greens STEC Action Plan, and related plans.
- Collect and maintain datasets on dietary intake, contamination levels, and other relevant factors.
- Develop and curate data collection tools and databases with metadata capture capabilities.
- Clean and prepare datasets for further analysis using automated procedures.
- Plan and conduct quality control processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Perform advanced statistical, mathematical, or computational analyses, including meta-analysis, Bayesian inference, and risk assessments.
- Create automated systems for ongoing data analysis and reporting.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and visualizations, including annual reports, spatial data trends, and interactive dashboards.
Skills/Eligibility:
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficient in managing and analyzing large datasets related to dietary intake, contaminants, pathogens, and environmental exposure using statistical and probabilistic tools.
- Skilled in database development, data cleaning, and curation with a focus on automation and metadata integration.
- Expertise in data analysis methods, including probabilistic simulations, spatial analysis, Bayesian modeling, and food exposure modeling for health and safety applications.
- Experienced in developing data visualization tools, dashboards, and comprehensive reports tailored to various stakeholders, including policymakers and technical teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters’ or PhD degree with 3-8 years’ related experience working with large data sets.
- Experience working with exposure assessment of contaminants.
