Annals of Work Exposures and Health is the official journal of BOHS and one of the world’s leading peer-reviewed research journals on hazards and risks to health resulting from work. Published by Oxford University Press, Annals is dedicated to presenting advances in exposure science supporting the recognition, quantification, and control of exposures at work, and epidemiological studies on the effects of work exposures on human health and well-being.
This appointment provides an opportunity to review the operation of the journal while also considering new approaches to take it to the next stage of its development as a world-leading publication. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to present a vision for the future development of the journal and associated specific proposals for its development. The Chief Editor post is remunerated. The remuneration will be dependent on a number of factors, not least the time commitment envisaged for the Chief Editor as part of proposals presented. The current arrangement requires 20-25% full time equivalent effort with professional editorial office support.
Skills/Eligibility:
Applications are invited from individuals with an excellent scientific track record in occupational hygiene and its underlying sciences, who have a strong record of publication and substantial experience in managing or conducting research of international quality. Previous experience of contributing to the review of published material is essential, while experience of contributing to editing is desirable.
