Health & Safety Specialist will participate in the develop and maintain The Environmental a comprehensive facility, perform EHS inspections, health, and-safety program for the investigate accidents, develop environmental, resources, and perform related tasks as assigned.   1. Manage / Support EHS Insight Reporting and Data Analysis
  • EHS Insight IT support
  • SDS Updates
  • Minor Injury Investigation/follow-up
    • Support Sr. Specialist during major investigations.
  • Facilitate Event & iCare corrective actions, tracked to closer
  • New Employee set-up/removal of employees who have left the company
  1. Training Development/ revision
  2. Safety Inspections & Walk-about’s
  • ERE & Fire Extinguishers
  • First Aid kits- inventory management
  • Chemical Inventory & Compliance Inspections
  • Develop /revise written programs
  • Perform Risk Assessments
  • Investigate safety events
  • Support / Train / Enforce compliance with all written EHS programs

  • Move / label drums/containers for shipment

Skills/Eligibility:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry or related scientific field required.
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist, Associate Safety Professional desired.
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience required.
  • Pharmaceutical experience desired.
  • Advanced Vocational/Specialized Knowledge required.
  • Experience in Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted required
  • Exposure to allergens and working in aseptic areas required
  • Pushing, pulling, twisting and prolonged sitting and standing required
