Mentor Volunteer - UW FEEDBACK (Volunteer)
Description:
The program runs from January through March, meeting every Thursday from 3:05–4:05 PM. This is a hybrid mentorship program designed for 5th–8th grade students from the Toppenish School District, offering both in-person and virtual engagement opportunities.
As a mentor, you will work with a small group of 1–4 students, guiding them through fun and interactive workshops that promote curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. Throughout the program, mentors will also help students develop and cultivate a research project, which will be showcased at the end-of-year symposium.
We ask that mentors commit to attending five meetings during the program period (specific dates TBD). Mentors must also complete a background check and participate in a mandatory mentor training session prior to the start of the program.
