Step into an essential role as an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Technician II supporting Romac’s Bothell and Sultan, WA facilities. In this role, you’ll partner closely with a dedicated five-person EHS team to maintain safe, healthy, and compliant operations across both sites. You’ll conduct inspections, identify hazards, guide corrective actions, and collaborate with teammates to support shared safety initiatives.

You’ll also play a key part in managing injury claims, including Labor & Industry (L&I) cases supporting employees with an empathetic, caring approach and strengthening a safety culture rooted in teamwork and accountability. This work helps Romac continue shaping opportunities that make a difference in sustainable water distribution and beyond.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct facility safety audits, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions to ensure regulatory and company compliance.
  • Manage all Industrial Accident and L&I claim paperwork from initial reporting through closure, coordinating with Archbright (outside claims management service), medical providers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Track, analyze, and report safety data, including injury trends and key metrics. Facilitate EHS training and communication, lead internal safety teams, and help build a strong safety culture across the organization.
  • Support environmental and safety programs across both sites while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills/Eligibility:

What You’ll Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental science, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a safety or EHS role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing L&I or comparable workers’ compensation claims, with an empathetic and caring approach when supporting injured employees.
  • Strong communication skills, including experience presenting to groups and delivering safety training
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently across multiple sites
  • Familiarity with safety documentation systems; experience with hazardous materials or environmental compliance (preferred).
