Description:
The Associate Environmental, Health and Safety Generalist supports the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of all EHS policies, processes and programs to various internal and external stakeholders. This position will work with the salaried EHS staff, Union Safety Representative(s), Joint Labor Management Safety and Health Committees, managers, supervisors, and production employees to provide leadership to the EHS policies, programs, processes and EHS culture improvement at the facility.
Job Responsibilities
• Supports the H-D Health & Safety Management System through assistance with CIS Integration, Workplace Analysis, Hazard Prevention & Control, Education, Communication & Recognition, and Care, Case & Claim Management.
• Serves as the EHS Management system administrator. Trouble shooting system issues, working with key stakeholders on system improvements and providing guidance on system enhancements with vendor.
• Support the Environmental Management system through assistance with permit compliance programs, waste management, ISO 14001 if applicable, and inclusive stakeholder management KPI’s
• Provides technical EHS support to all stakeholders including, but not limited to, incident investigations, ergonomic assessments, interpretation of EHS regulations and the application of policies, process, and procedures.
• Assists and supports best in class strategies, standards and solutions for occupational injury and illness prevention, compliance assurance, and behavioral performance based on regulations (OSHA / EPA / State Regulations), best practice standards (ANSI, NFPA, ACGIH, etc.), data analysis and trend tracking.
• Assists and supports strategic educational and training programs that will improve knowledge of stakeholders to address issues that arise from the analysis of processes.

Skills/Eligibility:
Education Requirements
• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required (Degree in Occupational Health & Safety / Environmental related preferred)
Experience Requirements
Requirements
• Typically requires 0-3 years of related experience.
• Must understand and demonstrate aspects of environmental, safety, industrial hygiene and ergonomics.
• Must be able to proactively lead and guide others to achieve success and create a partnering environment.
• Must be knowledgeable in State and Federal Safety regulations pertaining to EPA, State regulations, OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, and NEC.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Must be a proactive problem solver and able to work independently with flexibility and demonstrate the ability to maintain credibility and confidentiality.
