ADAI Summer Internship Program - Addictions, Drug, and Alcohol Institute (Internship)
Description:
This internship program is designed to help UW undergraduates gain project-based real-world experience and learn about substance use research, policy, and practice.
The projects will also give interns an opportunity to connect with UW faculty and staff and visit community partners working in a variety of settings.
The majority of the work will be performed remotely, with some in-person field trips (in/near Seattle, WA).
Our first cohort (summer 2026) will be invited to participate in projects with the:
- ADAI Information Services team: Research, plan, implement, and evaluate a multi-faceted educational campaign to reduce stigma against people who use drugs.
- Cannabis Education & Research Program (CERP): Work with the CERP team to prepare for their next Cannabis Research Symposium (fall 2026). Check out our 2022 Symposium recordings to see what this event looks like!
- Center for Community-Engaged Drug Education, Epidemiology & Research (CEDEER): Assist the CEDEER team with communications and find new, creative dissemination approaches
