Description:

We are seeking a passionate and driven EHS Professional to join our team in Lafayette, Indiana. In this role, you’ll be a key player in promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. You’ll lead the implementation of EHS programs, support compliance efforts, and provide hands-on safety support across our operations.

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Champion a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all regulatory and Arconic standards.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert(SME) for regulatory and site specific safety policies.
  • Provide daily floor support to identify and mitigate safety risks.
  • Lead and support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver impactful EHS training sessions.
  • Collaborate with leadership to coach and mentor teams on EHS best practices.
  • Participate in new equipment and facility reviews to ensure safety is built into every project.
  • Analyze EHS data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.

Skills/Eligibility:

Basic Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on safety.
  • This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Qualified candidate must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the relevant government agency. Business demands may require employer to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience working in a union environment.
  • Experience in foundry or molten metal environments.
  • Familiarity with Behavioral-Based or Human Performance Safety Systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS data analysis tools.
  • Proven ability to lead training, coach teams, and resolve conflicts.
  • Experience conducting accident investigations and implementing root cause solutions.
