Cook Responsibilities:
- Cook for 2 client lunch meals weekly– about 25 people each meal.
- Plan weekly client meal menus, using existing menus as guide.
- Complete food ordering for all 10 weekly meals, according to the grocery list.
- Keep kitchen organized, in collaboration with Dietitians and Milieu Support Specialists.
- Collaborate with Dietitians and Intake team to ensure food ordering is accurate (quantity, dislikes/allergies accounted for).
- Order staff snack.
- Receive and organize food for clients and Wednesday staff snack.
Skills/Eligibility:
Requirements:
- Competency in the kitchen with independent cooking skills and budget friendly shopping skills.
- Comfortable with basics of nutrition, ie meal planning, nutrients, food ingredients, etc.
- Excellent computer and database skills for food ordering and kitchen organization.
- Live, behave and talk in a way that reflects a non-diet, non-weight biased relationship with food and body.
- Exhibit a high degree of confidentiality and personal boundary setting.
- Openness to learn new skills and take risks.
