Description:

As an Environmental Coordinator, your key responsibility will be to coordinate and maintain Michels’ environmental program. This position will focus on proactive environmental field compliance and risk management (e.g., air, water, waste, biodiversity) for Michels operations and our construction projects. You will review scopes of work, draft construction permits and compliance plans, collect and analyze multi-media sampling, perform environmental observations and audits, and track and manage regulatory reporting requirements.

What it takes:

  • Prefer Bachelor or Associate degree with emphasis in environmental studies, natural sciences, engineering, or related field. Advanced training or education in Environmental or Technical Field, with equivalent years may be acceptable.
  • 1-5 years of environmental compliance or related construction experience.
  • Knowledgeable with environmental construction compliance topics and applicable regulations, including but not limited to storm water best management, process water control, waste storage and disposal, general air compliance, and fuel storage.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. With strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with different audience types both in-person and using technology (e.g. PowerPoint, TEAMS).
  • Data review and trend analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required, with preference for Advanced Excel expertise.
  • Preference with experience in ArcGIS.
  • Travel 30% to 60% in West US states.
  • A valid driver’s license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record.
