Description:

  • Provide compliance assistance to entities that have the potential to emit pollutants and to the public in understanding environmental pollution, laws, and regulations.
  • Conduct inspections at small and large entities that have the potential to emit pollutants and or hazardous materials. You will ensure entities are in compliance with the regulations and/or their permit.
  • Conduct investigations of entities identified in public filed environmental concerns.
  • Obtain any necessary certifications, including asbestos inspector certification, and conduct asbestos concerns and investigations.
  • Collect asbestos samples as needed; must be able to wear a respirator.
  • Complete goals as specified in the work plan you will be provided.
  • Work with others on your team, assisting in other program areas as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Equivalent to those typically gained by:

  • A bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, natural resources, physical sciences, or a closely related field, and 0 - 4 or more years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed)
