Responsibilities
• Work in alignment with our Operational Food Safety representatives to monitor product use reports and ranch restrictions
• Monitor and update active ingredient Maximum Residue Limits and Pre-Harvest Intervals for our target export market, ensuring export-related requirements are accurate and aligned with regulatory expectations
• Assist in coordinating decline studies, analyze results, and present findings
• Regulatory Support, assist in compliance activities related to organic integrity, social responsibility, and regulatory requirements
• Recordkeeping & Documentation, maintain accurate and compliant food safety records, audit certificates, and facility data
• Assist in investigating customer complaints, collaborate with Sales and Operations, and communicate with distributors to find a resolution
• Support Sales teams by managing customer requests, surveys, and compliance documentation to ensure alignment with client requirements
• Support the Food Safety department platform administration, assisting with user management, system configuration, training, and issue resolution
• Support IT teams through functional testing, issue investigation, and validation for multiple platforms and system enhancements
• Analyze and visualize Food Safety Data and Metrics for use by the business enterprise
• Remain up to date with changes in regulations and update associated SOPs accordingly
Skills/Eligibility:
Candidate Profile
• 2–4 years’ experience in agriculture, preferably with a focus on food safety, Regulatory Compliance, GAPs, and GMPs
• General understanding of food safety and FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act)
• Regulatory knowledge for the United States and Canada is highly preferred; understanding of other countries’ regulations is a plus.
• An understanding of MRLs, PHIs, and background on pesticide usage is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated leadership and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Strong computer skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Experience in Data Analytics and related software (Tableau) preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) recommended
• Valid driver’s license; eligible for company vehicle insurance coverage
• Willingness to travel as required
