EHS Technician - Advanced Environmental Group (Job)
Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct historical and current use research of properties for environmental impairment.
- Perform environmental assessments and present findings and recommendations to clients.
- Conduct field investigations to assess contamination in soil, soil gas, and groundwater.
- Collect samples including soil, groundwater, asbestos, lead, and mold.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Perform industrial hygiene assessments and third-party oversight.
- Support EHS compliance projects, including site assessments and subsurface investigations.
- Conduct on-site field inspections and investigations in construction and industrial settings.
Skills/Eligibility:
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 0–5 years of experience in environmental consulting, construction, or related field.
- Strong writing, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Valid CA driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends (up to 25% of the time).
Preferred Certifications
- Required or ability to obtain:
- DOSH Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST)
- CDPH Lead Sampling Technician
- Preferred:
- DOSH Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC)
- CDPH Lead Inspector/Assessor or Project Monitor
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER
- EPA AHERA Asbestos Inspector Certification
