Description:
TheAssociate, Environmental Health & Safetywill participate in the develop and maintain a comprehensive environmental, health, and safety program for the facility, perform EHS inspections, investigate accidents, develop and provide safety training and related resources, and perform related tasks as assigned. The EHS Specialist will help ensure conformity to applicable federal, state, and local standards related to environmental compliance and occupational health and safety (OSHA, EPA, DOT, State, etc.)
Gensuite Management
- Gensuite IT support
- SDS Updates
- Minor Injury Investigation/follow-up
Support Sr. Specialist during major investigations.
- Facilitate Event & iCare corrective actions, tracked to closer
- New Employee set-up/removal of employees who have left the company
Training Development/ revision
Safety Inspections & Walk-abouts
- ERE Extinguishers
- First Aid kits- inventory management
Waste Management
- Move drums/containers for shipment
- Solvent shed container management
- DOT training needed
Environmental Compliance

- Weekly wastewater pH probe calibration
- Semi-annual SW inspections
- Monthly generator hours (air permit)
Skills/Eligibility:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry or related scientific field required.
- Minimum 1 year of related experience required.
- Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required.
- Certified Industrial Hygienist, Associate Safety Professional preferred.
- Pharmaceutical experience preferred.
- A high level of interpersonal skill is required in order to accomplish objectives related to employee safety, implement change within the facility to comply with state and federal regulations, and interact successfully with external agencies.
