WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON
- Support the EHSS department to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations through proper documentation and recordkeeping.
- Conduct routine workplace safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- Assist in preparing inspection reports and tracking corrective actions to closure.
- Support the development and maintenance of inspection checklists and audit tools.
- Coordinate logistics for safety training sessions, including scheduling, materials preparation, and attendance tracking.
- Assist in the development and distribution of safety bulletins, posters, and other awareness materials.
- Support onboarding safety orientation for new employees and contractors.
- Serve as the first point of contact for reporting safety incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Assist in gathering initial incident data, witness statements, and photographic evidence.
- Support the EHSS team in conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective/preventive actions.
- Monitor inventory levels of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety supplies.
- Support the distribution and proper use of PPE across departments.
- Assist in evaluating and recommending appropriate PPE for specific tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training, inspections, and corrective actions in EHSS databases or software systems.
- Help compile data for monthly safety metrics, dashboards, and regulatory reporting.
- Uphold all MLI policies and the “MLI Code of Conduct.”
- Adhere to Environmental and Safety compliance regulations.
- Follow Compliance and individual accountability with the MLI Quality System and ISO Registration.

- Perform other duties as assigned to support EHSS and MLI as a whole.
Skills/Eligibility:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s Arts degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- An EHSS certificate(s) with relevant experience may be considered.
- 0–1 years of experience in EHSS or a related safety/environmental role.
- Working knowledge of computers and MS Office software.
- Proficient in arithmetic and grammar.
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously to meet established deadlines.
- Work as a team and/or independently.
- Perform tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
