Description:

The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for assisting with the management of Auto Club Enterprise’s (ACE’s) environmental, health and safety program. Assisting with the development of EHS programs, procedures and supporting documentation and delivering EHS training as needed. Filling EHS reports, permits, etc. as needed. Serving as a touchpoint for other business units and/or agencies on matters relating to EHS compliance.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with developing and maintaining EHS programs and supporting documentation as needed.

  • Provide guidance to management and employees at all levels to facilitate the implementation of ACE EHS programs.

  • Assist with conducting and maintaining risk assessments for ACE operations and recommend risk mitigation.

  • Assist management levels with incident investigations related to work related injuries and near-miss incidents to identify root causes and corrective actions as needed.

  • Completing and documenting EHS compliance tasks as assigned on the EHS compliance calendar.

  • Assist with the completion, filing and monitoring of EHS reports needed and required by regulatory agencies.

  • Perform other duties, as assigned, in support of the ACE EHS Road Map.

  • Perform related work as assigned.

Skills/Eligibility:

What You’ll Need

  • A bachelor’s degree in environmental, health and safety management, or related discipline is required, or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.

  • A minimum of one (1) year in environmental, health and safety or closely related experience.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate ideas in a clear, concise, and professional manner.

Preferred Education and Experience Requirements

  • 1 year experience in EHS program development and implementation.

  • 1 year experience in communicating with regulatory agencies and filing regulatory reports.

  • 1 year experience managing work related incident investigation and ergonomics.
