What You Will Do
- Responsible to ensure, at a minimum, company compliance with existing, new and emerging federal, state and international environmental and safety and health regulation. This requires the knowledge and technical expertise to develop and deploy environmental and safety and health policies, systems, programs and processes. The scope of a position may be site specific, regional across multiple sites or Enterprise wide.
- Full technical knowledge and complete understanding of EH&S processes and procedures. Applies these processes and implements improvement to established procedures.
- Skilled in the application of methods and techniques for hazard identification, hazard evaluation, risk assessment and control.
- Conducts regulatory review and impacts analysis of diverse scope and complexity; requires evaluation of variable factors. Leads process changes as needed.
- Conduct full site inspections and participates in compliance audits. Capable of leading a compliance audit at a site of low to moderate complexity.
- Collects and manages data and maintains data records. Analyzes data sets of moderate complexity, analyzes data for trends. Prepares regulatory reports and permit applications.
- Leads EH&S teams and contributes on cross functional committees.
- Develops, manages and executes EH&S training programs including documentation and recordkeeping based on an assessment of requirements and needs. Contributes to course development, delivery, and training program evaluation.
- Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies.
- Develops written and spoken internal and external communication. Prepares reports, responds to surveys, develops and maintains documents, and contributes to teamspace or website content.
- Leads process and information management mapping. Assists in the design and development of simple applications and tools and portions of more complex ones. Helps investigate and resolve problems with process, tools and applications.
Skills/Eligibility:
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Manufacturing work setting experience
Qualifications We Prefer
- EH&S experience in the Aerospace Industry is preferred.
- Knowledge/experience of in avionics/aerospace.
- Excellent project management skills.
