Environmental & Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator - Madden Industrial Craftsmen (Job)
Description:
EOH&S Coordinator Responsibilities:

Perform regular inspections, audits, and reports to ensure that all applicable laws, codes, and regulations are observed

Monitor material sampling and hazardous waste removal, recommending new EOH&S vendors for selection

Coordinate EOH&S activities and programs to support ongoing environmental and safety efforts
-
Coordinate and audit “Loss Control Function” by identifying, evaluating, and improving hazardous and physical conditions, and practices in the workplace
-
Coordinate the Global Harmonize System (GHS) and Hazardous Communication Program, to comply with ISO regulations
-
Maintain communication between the organization and appropriate regulatory agencies of SEC for any policy changes
-
Train all employees in company EOH&S practices and policies
-
Follow company-wide safety programs, 5S initiatives, and ISO procedures

Maintain professional and technical knowledge of industry best practices by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, visiting other manufacturing facilities, and participating in professional societies
Skills/Eligibility:
EOH&S Coordinator Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in EOH&S or equivalent applicable education and work experience is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Knowledge of U.S. environmental markets and regulations required

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize work assignments

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with all levels of personnel
-
Knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001, Federal/Regional/State OSHA, EPA, DHS, NFPA, FDA, DEQ, RoHS, JICOSH, UK Reach, EU Reach, SEC, and EOH&S required

Advanced PC skills are required, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
