Northwest Public Health has won an award of excellence in APEX 2009, a nationwide program that recognizes excellence in graphic design, editorial content, and communications effectiveness in a variety of media. The award was for the journal's fall/winter 2008 issue, "Climate Change: Challenging Public Health." Susan Allan is editor-in-chief and Katherine Hall managing editor of the journal, which is published by the Northwest Center for Public Health Practice of the University of Washington School of Public Health. The Center serves the academic and practice communities in a six-state region.
