Kingsley Ndoh (MPH, ’13) wins Washington Global Health Alliance’s 2023 Rising Star Award

Kingsley Ndoh, global health alumnus and faculty of the University of Washington School of Public Health (UW SPH), has been selected to receive one of Washington Global Health Alliance’s (WGHA) 2023 Global Health Impact Awards. These awards “celebrate the people and organizations that deliver greater health equity and demonstrate a commitment to innovation that runs the global health ecosystem every day.”

Ndoh received WGHA’s Rising Star Award, which is given to an individual age 40 or under who is making an exceptional impact in the field of global health. For more than a decade, Ndoh has led innovative global health programs that improve cancer care health outcomes for underrepresented populations around the world. In 2021, Ndoh founded Hurone AI, a digital health startup in Seattle that uses culturally sensitive artificial intelligence to provide equitable access to high quality and personalized cancer care.

Ndoh is a clinical assistant professor of global health at UW SPH, and an affiliate member of the Vaccines and Infectious Disease Division at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. He received his master of public health from the Department of Global Health in 2013.

Winners of WGHA’s 2023 Global Health Impact Awards will be recognized in person at an awards ceremony on October 4 at the Burke Museum Natural History and Culture.
