Student capstone project inspires new policy to prevent lead poisoning in Washington schools.

To my friends in public health,
In a year of historically severe challenges, I’m moved by what we have collectively and individually accomplished. I've also been inspired by working collaboratively with all of you through my role as ASPPH board chair.
Across our country and in the different schools and programs that make up ASPPH, thousands of new public health leaders graduated, critical research discoveries were made, public health practice helped millions of people, and together, we raised our voice in support of public health systems, sciences, and services. The people in public health proved once again that our mission never stops.
I am also deeply grateful for the amazing folks in my own school and local public health community. Faced with uncertainty and challenges, they have been scrappy and resilient and have remained dedicated to the work we all hold dear. Please enjoy the stories of what our students, staff, and faculty at the University of Washington School of Public Health achieved this year.
