Advising for Public Health-Global Health

Public Health-Global Health Major advisers assist prospective students with planning and preparing for admission to the major through individual and group advising meetings. Advising Appointments

Current major students can schedule 1:1 advising appointments through ScheduleOnce. The link to schedule an appointment through ScheduleOnce is sent to current majors during your orientation as well as included in the Weekly Newsletter sent during the AUT, WIN, and SPR quarters. Email if you have questions or need support accessing the advising link as a current PH-GH major.

Drop-In Advising

Drop-in advising is offered for current PH-GH majors and is a great way to have quick questions answered or to start a conversation when appointments are full. Students will be asked to sign-in while in the waiting room with a sign-in sheet that is shared among those attending in-person drop-in (when offered) and those attending drop-in via Zoom

Please see our appointment page on ScheduleOnce for the Zoom information and details about Current PH-GH Major Drop-in Advising.

PH-GH advisers also host virtual workshops around community building, future planning, graduation planning, careers in public health, as well as advertising events through partners around campus. Updates for workshops are included in the PH-GH Newsletter that is released each Monday during the academic year.

Prospective PH-GH Major Students

Prospective students who are current UW students are encouraged to learn more about the major, admissions, and course planning by attending a drop-in or group advising session that best fits their understanding of the major. At any point in the quarter, prospective PH-GH students may email with their questions.

Current UW Students Applying to the PH-GH Major

Please visit the Prospective Student Events Calendar to register for the drop-in or small group advising session using Zoom.

*The PH-GH Major is making curricular changes that will be effective starting AUT 2024 (see future degree requirements here ).  Students will be able to run a degree audit reflective of the new requirements starting SUM 2024.
