Public Health-Global Health Major advisers assist students with planning and preparing for admission to the major through small group advising meetings starting Autumn 2020. Once admitted, students meet primarily with these advisers about course planning, applying for graduation, and additional matters related to their academic and career planning.
Advising will occur remotely through AUT 2020 and updates for advising WIN 2021 will be determined by at the start of the Winter 2021 quarter. Current PH-GH Majors can attend 1:1 advising appointments via Zoom or phone.
Current PH-GH Major Students
Appointments can be scheduled through ScheduleOnce by students currently in the PH-GH Major. The link will be sent to current majors during your orientation as well as included in the Weekly Newsletter. Email email@example.com if you have questions.
PH-GH advisers also host virtual workshops around community building, future planning, and graduation planning, as well as advertising events through partners around campus. Please sign-up for workshops announced in the Weekly Newsletter through Microsoft.
Prospective PH-GH Major Students
Prospective students who are current UW students are encouraged to learn more about the major, admissions, and course planning by attending a group advising session. Please visit the Prospective Student Events Calendar to register for a small group advising session using Zoom. Prospective students may also get started with course planning by visiting our Sample Degree Sequence and PH-GH Major Requirements websites.
Prospective transfer students planning to apply to UW may also meet virtually with an adviser during Transfer Thursday drop-in hours from 1:00pm-4:00pm. Check the prospective student events calendar for the Zoom link. Please note that Transfer Thursday advising may be held by an adviser from the PH-GH, Environmental Health, and FSNH (Food Systems, Nutrition, and Health) majors.
